Treliant’s Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management practice is looking for consultants with significant Small Business Lending Compliance experience and expertise in Section 1071 of the Dodd-Frank Act for client engagements.  These roles are project-based and 100% remote.


  • Advise Small Business Lending clients on their regulatory compliance efforts pertaining to Section 1071 of the Dodd-Frank Act.
  • Review existing compliance program and data gathering efforts.
  • Perform current state process mapping.
  • Assess current state processes for adherence to policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Make recommendations for changes to procedures and documentation.
  • Create and maintain gap analysis detail reporting.
  • Manage large data sets, troubleshoot, develop efficient new processes for collecting and aggregating data, and synthesize data into KRIs and KPIs.
  • Communicate effectively with the client, team members, and management.
  • Identify issues and escalate as needed.
  • Create and maintain reporting decks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent work experience.
  • Expert knowledge of Section 1071 of the Dodd-Frank Act.
  • 5+ years’ regulatory compliance experience in financial institutions, ideally related to Small Business Lending.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills to include presentations and report writing for clients.
  • Effective project management and leadership skills.
  • Manage multiple tasks effectively and efficiently.
  • Comfort working independently, as well as part of a broader team.
  • Experience working in a deadline-driven consulting environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
